Compare Credit Offers

Comparing credit card offers will often give you the best deal

[April 19, 2007]

Almost every one in the USA, UK and Canada has a credit card. It is one of the most accepted forms of payments worldwide, and people have so many choices when it comes to which one is right for them. With all of the credit card offers out on the market right now it is easy to get confused. But take heart – this is going to be one top credit card offer that fits all of your needs!

When you get to choose from rewards programs to low rates you will win in the end! The most important thing to remember is to compare credit card offers. By comparing credit cards you can match them up against each other to find the best one for you. You can even go as far as calling up the credit card companies to see if they can give you guaranteed approval credit cards and fee free, low rate cards.

By establishing a good plan you can make sure you get the best credit card offer. By following the steps below you can make sure the process of choosing a credit card goes by quickly and painlessly!

Credit cards types

  • Low interest credit cards are a popular choice because when a card holder can pay out less in interest each month then they are saving money. Many credit card companies will offer zero percent introductory rates where you won’t have to pay interest for up to 15 months! If you are looking for a low APR credit card, then this is a great place to start! Look for online credit card offers to find the best unsecured credit cards because you can usually find instant online approval for many of the cards.
  • Balance transfer cards are also another popular type of credit card, because they allow you to transfer your current balance, which may be on a high interest, onto a low interest card. By doing this you will stay on a low interest for several months and you have the time to get much of your balance paid off. Many credit card holders save hundreds by using balance transfer cards.
  • Cash back and rewards program cards offer credit card holders the chance to get money back for just using their cards. Many rewards programs give you options on how you would like to redeem your points. You can either get cash back, airline miles, merchandise certificates or restaurant gift certificates. Rewards programs are great if you don’t hold a usual balance because rewards cards usually come attached with higher interest rates.
  • Pre-paid credit cards are another way you can use cards. Also called secure credit cards, pre-paid cards allow someone with bad credit to build their credit score by the use of a card that works like a debit card. You simply deposit money with your bank and you can only spend up to what you put in. Simply put- you can’t spend what you don’t have!

Credit card comparison

Once you have looked over the list of options and have decided which card fits your particular needs it is time to do some side by side comparisons. Look to compare credit cards online because often you will find the best deals from VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. The internet is a great place to do some side by side comparisons because credit card companies want your business and they will do virtually anything to have it.

As the consumer you must remember that you are the one in charge. Especially if you have good credit you will have an edge on your competition. A credit card company will want to hold onto someone will excellent credit. Those with bad credit don’t have as many options, although there still are credit card offers for bad credit.

Whether you look online or on paper remember these things as you compare credit cards: APR, grace periods, online access and payment options, annual fees and other extra fees, cash advance and balance transfer fees and late fees. By wading through these options you will be able to throw out the applications that don’t fit your needs. As a card holder you should be able to have what you want when you want.

The best cards for you

The best credit card for you will often have a lot to do with your purchasing and paying habits. How you usually spend your money will have a lot to do with what credit card you should have. You should be considering if you plan to pay your balance off in full each month or if you want to carry a balance. If you plan to carry a usual balance then you must make sure that you end up with a card with low rates and is fee free!

Look at all the comparisons of credit cards before you decide on one in particular. Look over the terms and conditions and make sure you have a solid understanding of the fine print. The last thing you want as the card holder is to end up getting surprised after you get your card.

In the end you want a credit card that fits your lifestyle and needs. You want the best value and the most out of your card. Credit cards should be there to help you, not hurt you so choose wisely!

Every time you open financial news, chances are that you see an article about new victims of credit card fraud. Millions of Americans annually report unauthorized credit card charges, account losses or other forms of identity theft that incur as a result of data-security breaches. It may take months to repair the damage caused by fraudulent charges. In order to protect people from credit fraud, Visa Inc. and eight American and Canadian lenders have launched a pilot program that will alert cardholders in real time about all critical transactions involving their plastic money.

Many airlines have begun to accept credit cards for onboard purchases. For frequent travelers who rely on their credit cards, it is good news because the change in the airlines' payment policy lets them not withdraw cash for the trip. Thus they can reduce the possibility to become a victim of crimes who like pick pocketing in unfamiliar, tourist-heavy areas. In addition, paying with plastic allows business or leisure travelers to track and record their spending for budget planning, reimbursement or tax purposes more easily.
