Bank of America Offers Exclusive Credit Cards for Baseball Fans
Bank of America is expanding its offering of exclusive Major League Baseball financial products for baseball fans. New line of checks, credit cards and debit cards comes with MLB logos and designs. The credit card rewards program gives all baseball fans unique opportunities. They will be able to attend special Club or MLB events, receive autographed merchandise, visit the field during pre-game activities or throw out a ceremonial first pitch. The credit cards will provide lifelong memories and unique baseball experiences to all fans of America's National Pastime.
The new MLB affiliating banking program has appeared as a result of financial surveys. They show that consumers tend to choose products and services that can be personalized or customized based on their passions and loyalties. Major League Baseball fans - well-known for their passion for the game - are among consumers who will respond to that personal attention.
To celebrate the launch of MLB product line, Bank of America introduced "You Know Baseball" campaign. It is designed to engage fans with point-of-sale and online advertising, MLB Club-specific trivia and a chance to win a free trip to the 2008 MLB All Star Game in New York.
Susan Faulkner, deposits and student-lending executive of Bank of America, said that they are proud to help their partners open an exciting new season and create opportunities for fans everywhere to show their love for baseball through the everyday transactions with the sports rewards credit cards.
The credit card holders can choose a credit card design according to their taste: it can be the silhouetted batter or the logo of their favorite team. The point accumulation scheme is simple. Each time they pay with the plastic, they will earn one point for every dollar spent. Earned points can be redeemed for a wide range of unique rewards that only MLB and its 30 Clubs can provide, for example game-used items, autographed memorabilia by past and current players or an opportunity to meet with your favorite Club. Moreover, credit card holders are free to choose cash back or airline tickets as a reward.
Bank of America has official sponsorships with Little League, Minor League and Major League Baseball as well as a promotional tie-in with the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y. That allowed the company to offer their credit card holders so many unique rewards. Bank of America enables all baseball fans to experience the National Pastime in new and exciting ways.
Bank of America started working on expanding their affiliating banking programs two years ago after buying MBNA, the large credit card company that created the project. The bank tested some of their financial products in selected markets last year. They were a success with customers. New MLB-related credit cards, debit cards and checks will be offered this month.
Bank of America also offers similar affinity banking programs for fans of NASCAR and NFL. They let customers to add an image of their favorite driver or hockey player to their plastic.
