Credit Card Offers with Rewards

[December 07, 2007]

Keeping all your finances in one place is a vestige of the past. Financial consultants do their best in persuading people not to keep all their finances together. But as credit rewards programs concerns, those advisors say that the variety of reward options is so wide that you may roll in rewards, if you are a disciplined cardholder. Just think about all those cash back rewards, air miles and redeemable gift certificates! If you are searching for unbelievable bonuses, one good reward credit card is what you need.

Reward Programs Concept

All the best credit card offers are usually accompanied by rewards programs. Their aim is to stimulate you by giving you various incentives for using credit cards. They encourage cardholders to make purchases as often as possible to earn all the fantastic rewards. Rewards programs come up on credit cards more and more. They are getting unspeakably popular. Most credit card issuers offer nearly 1 - 5% cash back.

No matter what card you own - Visa or MasterCard, Discover or American Express, you can enjoy rewards! Banks cooperate with various corporate structures like airlines, restaurants, hotel chains, retail stores. Credit companies use the most convenient numeric point system for rewards. The best credit card offers are the result of this close collaboration between credit card issuers and retailers. Choosing the best reward program requires a careful comparison of all the deals.

Earning of the Reward Points

Cash back rewards won the widest popularity among cardholders. These rewards allow you to get a certain amount of assets back to your account either every month or every time you reach some particular amount of points. The good credit cards give at least 1% cash back. That means you will get $1 back for every $100 you spend. Among the bonuses that top reward cards offer are air miles, gift certificates and hotel discounts.

The Right Reward Program

First of all it is recommended that you contact your credit card company and make sure that you are allowed to switch the redeemable points back and forth. For example, you may wish to get cash back this month but air miles the next. It's OK if you are changing your mind rather often. The best way to distinguish the right card from the wide variety is to determine your personal requirements. Examine your spending habits by studying your bank statements and bills. If you tend to carry a regular monthly balance, you may come to a conclusion that reward credit cards usually have higher rates and you want to consider a low rate card instead.

Also try to examine as many offers on the market as possible. Check out the major banks, such as Citibank, HSBC, Chase, Orchard, First PREMIER, Advanta. Take your time to find the card that fits your needs best. If you are a frequent flyer, choose air miles rewards, if you are a serious shopper you will like gift certificates for rewards. Find the best bargain and enjoy saving while spending!

Raising your credit score involves several steps. You need to get new credit and prove that you can pay your bills on time. However, qualifying for a new plastic can be difficult if your FICO score is less than 660 points. Nowadays more than 70 million people in the U.S. find themselves in this category. The solution for them is subprime credit cards. Although these plastics come with higher borrowing costs, they really work. A recent research conducted by Citizens for Equal Access to Credit showed that a large percentage of subprime cardholders improved their FICO score during 2 years!

As the Wall Street mistakes have pulled the nation into the financial mess, ordinary consumers are losing jobs and having hard time borrowing for major expenses. It shouldn't seem odd to think about getting another loan or a credit card today, because you still need a home and your child needs education. If you've lost a job, a bank card with reasonable rates and substantial limit can help stand firm for a while.
The credit score, the figure showing the borrowing risk, becomes the major factor in the lender's decision. It allows good risk consumers to get a good credit card at favorable terms and pass the crisis safe. But as the requirements are tougher each new day, it is important for you as a borrower to maintain or achieve good payment history and solid FICO scores.
